So far our month has been one birthday celebration after another!

Recently Hayley and RJ have been playing beautifully together, spending hours engaged in pretend play.  Some scenarios this week included going on vacation to Kauai (taking their suitcases around the house), playing super heroes (dressed in capes) and flying a spaceship (this involves the umbrella on our patio table going up and down).  It makes Chris and I extremely happy to see them play so well together.  They still have squabbles, of course, but that just helps with conflict resolution skills!  Here is a clip of them Playing super heroes in our yard.

RJ’s preschool had a graduation ceremony and end of year party, all the kids were in a play and sang a song.  Here is a video of the song Graduation Song at RJ's preschool.  We have no idea what they are singing, but it is cute.

It was an exciting month for Hayley.  She started kindergarten, practiced riding her bike (see this video Hayley riding her bike) and mostly figured out how to pump when swinging (another video Hayley swinging by herself).  Finally, she started sounding out and writing words on her own to complement her drawings, see the picture below.
